Englemann Spruce Top, Figured Koa back and sides, Bolivian Rosewood binding, Demi-cut-a-way and side bevel

German Silver Spruce, Figured Maple and Brazilian Rosewood

This small jumbo had great tone-crisp bass, jammy highs, with balance and volume. I had mixed feelings when it sold the day after it was finished.

Completed January 2016

This is my First guitar. Built in 1972

German Silver Spruce Top, Figured Maple back and sides, Brazilian Rosewood back strip and bindings. Ebony bridge and fingerboard. It's a great couch guitar-the one you keep handy. Plays like a dream and has a strong bass for it's size and solid, silky treble notes.  I'm keeping it!

I built this guitar for Singer song-writer Lowell Daniels. He wanted a parlor size 12 fret guitar with a pyramid bridge and a cowboy look. I had a hard time parting with this one and have tried to talk him out of it several times. Lowell plays hard and this guitar has a clear pickguard on both sides of the soundhole.  This guitar has a Dtar Wavelength pickup and preamp.

Lily Red

This is my version of a parlour size guitar. The sloped shoulders give it a unique look. The top is Western Red Cedar. The back and sides are figured Koa. Binding, fingerboard and tuner buttons are Bloodwood from South America. Extremely hard and dense, it's vivid red color drew me in. It was named by it's owner. It has a sweet, delicate tone with good volume. This guitar has an L.R. Baggs Lyric internal mic and preamp.

This guitar was built for local musician Paul Solano.  It is between a 000/OM and a dreadnaught in size. 15-5/8" lower bout.  His one special request was an eagle feather somewhere on the guitar. We settled on using the feather as the 12th fret marker. The top is Adirondack Spruce, back and sides are Cocobolo. Headplate is Rosewood, fingerboard, tuning buttons and bridge are ebony, soundhole rossette is zebrawood end grain. This guitar has a strong, crisp tone, with good volume and balance up and down the neck.

I built this Om size guitar for myself to use as a stage guitar. It has an Englemann Spruce top and Koa back and sides, binding and soundhole rossette. The headplate is Ebony and Koa w/snakewood binding. This guitar has a Fishman Aura Pro pickup system with computer modeling. This guitar has tons of headroom and really excels as a single note or fingerstyle guitar. Projects well in an ensemble setting. 14 frets to the body
